Job summary

Legends Golf & Country Club in Clermont, FL, is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to oversee golf course maintenance and construction, and ensure turf quality to established standards.

Reporting to the Superintendent, you will help manage budgets, supervise maintenance staff, plan greens, tees, fairways, and related landscapes, and ensure equipment, safety, and regulatory compliance. A degree in agronomy/horticulture plus several years of relevant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or AA in agronomy/ horticulture/ plant/ soil science; degree preferred.
• 3–4 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain annual maintenance budget and capital plans with Superintendent.
• Supervise maintenance staff in daily duties.
• Plan and direct maintenance/construction of greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers.
• Oversee planting and cultural practices for turf grasses, trees, and ornamentals.
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained and procurement stays within budget.
