City of Fort Collins is seeking an Assistant Superintendent for Parks, a full-time regular role within the Golf department. The position focuses on planning, supervising, and executing golf course maintenance with expertise in turfgrass management, agronomy, irrigation, and personnel supervision.

The ideal candidate has 5 years of related experience and a Colorado pesticide license (or the ability to obtain within 12 months).

Competenze

• Minimum qualifications: 5 years related experience/education.
• Certifications: Colorado Department of Agriculture Qualified Supervisor pesticide applicator license (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
• Valid driver’s license required.

Mansioni

• Directs and participates in daily golf course maintenance operations, prioritizing tasks based on weather, turf conditions, and course usage.
• Plan and implement turfgrass and agronomic practices including irrigation, fertilization, cultural practices, and pest management.
• Supervise and develop maintenance staff, ensuring safety and performance while coordinating with other City departments.
