Job summary

Royal Manchester Golf Links in Mount Wolf, PA, is seeking a full-time 2nd Assistant Superintendent. This hourly role includes supervising maintenance staff, assisting in budgeting, and directing maintenance and construction of greens, tees, fairways, roughs and bunkers to ensure optimal playing conditions.

The position offers full benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision) and PTO. The candidate should have an Associates degree or equivalent training, with preferred agronomy/horticulture background.

Qualifications

• Associates degree (AA) or equivalent form a two year college or technical school; or three to four years related experience and/or training.
• Degree preference in agronomy/horticulture/plant/soil science.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the maintenance and construction of the 18 hole golf course and ensures turf grass is repaired and maintained to standards.
• Supervises and assists maintenance staff in daily duties.
• Assists in planning, organizing and directing maintenance and construction of greens, tees, fairways, roughs and bunkers.
• Ensures all grounds and course maintenance equipment is properly maintained.
• Maintains course in proper playing condition.
• Communicates with other departments to discuss conditions of facilities and maintenance plans.
