NEBCO, Inc. d/b/a Quarry Oaks Golf Club (“Company”) is hiring 12 temporary Golf Course Maintenance Laborers for the season 04/01/2026 – 11/30/2026 at 16600 Quarry Oaks Drive, Ashland, NE 68003. Work is full‑time; Monday – Saturday; 5:45 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.; at least 43.5 hrs/week. Company uses a single workweek as the standard for computing wages due; workers paid every week. Pay is at least $20.04/hr – $22.30/hr (higher rates possible based on experience or skill) with applicable benefits. Workers are eligible for overtime pay of at least $30.06/hr – $33.45/hr, one and a half times the regular hourly rate for all hours over 40 in a given workweek, which may be available based on weather conditions and business needs (historical average is approximately 5–10 hours per week in peak of busy season). If requested by workers, Company will assist with securing adequate housing for the temporary season plus utilities in employer‑owned and/or employer‑rented housing at a rate of approximately $138.56 per person per pay period. Company will make all deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by law, plus $138.56 per person per pay period for housing expenses for employees who choose them.
Job Duties
- Operate riding mowers to maintain turf at specified heights on greens, tees, collars, approaches to greens, roughs, and fairways.
- Edge and maintain sand traps; rake sand traps by hand and with a power rake.
- Operate a weed‑eater to trim around trees, fences, and other areas.
- Aerate greens and tees, perform verti‑cutting on tees and greens, spike greens, and operate a sod cutter.
- Fertilize greens, tees, fairways, and rough.
- Maintain gasoline, oil, and other equipment fluid levels daily and immediately report equipment problems to the Equipment Technician.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment as directed and return equipment to the designated location at the maintenance facility.
- Drive a utility vehicle to haul materials and refuse.
- Change pins and rotate tee markers as required.
- Remove and replace worn and damaged turf.
- Garbage removal of on‑course garbage.
- Observe and monitor turf conditions and report observations when the turf is not in good condition.
- Top‑dress greens and tees by hand and with motorized equipment.
- Use a push mower to mow the clubhouse lawn area.
- Pull weeds and maintain flower beds and ornamental plantings.
- Operate riding mowers, small utility vehicles, standard pickup trucks, hand tools (rakes, shovels, sod cutter), aerators, and weed‑eaters as needed for duties.

- Transportation costs (including subsistence and, where necessary, lodging) from the place of recruitment to the place of employment are reimbursed upon arrival.
- H‑2B workers receive reimbursement in the first workweek for all visa, visa‑processing, border‑crossing, and related fees actually incurred.
- Upon completion or early dismissal, the company will cover reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence.
- Daily subsistence is provided at a rate of at least $16.28/day, up to $68.00/day with receipts.
- Guarantee of at least three‑quarters of the workdays in each 12‑week period of employment.
