Country Club Sandy Springs, GA
Cherokee Town & Country Club, established in 1956, is one of the top private clubs in the country. We have two facilities, a Town Club in the heart of the city and a Country Club in North Atlanta. Our members enjoy world class facilities in golf, dining, tennis, wellness and fitness, and aquatics. Over our history, we have hosted some of the top amateur events in the region. Each department has a long history of developing and preparing employees to manage top facilities around the country. If you want to grow your career while learning from some of the best leaders in the industry, we want to meet you.
Interns are involved in each facet of the golf course maintenance team. You'll work closely with the Superintendent and the Assistant Superintendent on both golf courses. You'll also spend time in the mechanic's shop learning how to set mower heights, grind reels, change oil, and handle general repair and maintenance.
$16 per hour
The Country Club has 36 holes of championship golf set in the Chattahoochee River Basin. Tom Fazio redesigned both courses. The Golf Course Agronomy Team works out of a state of the art turf care facility that sets the standard for the green industry. The Club also has 15 acres of practice facilities, including a driving range with four sets of tees and a three green short game facility. The South Course had a major renovation in 2016 that converted the greens from bentgrass to Champion Ultradwarf and rebuilt the bunkers with the Better Billy Bunker method. Both courses have Champion Ultradwarf greens, 419 fairways and roughs, TifGrand collars, and a mix of Zeon Zoysia and 419 tees.
