Job summary

The Meadows at Mystic Lake, operated by the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community (SMSC), is seeking a Groundskeeper to support daily golf course maintenance. You will contribute to a premium guest experience through mowing, edging, bunker maintenance, divot filling, sodding, course setup, and related landscaping tasks.

Position is seasonal with Monday–Friday early shifts and weekend coverage. We offer weekly pay, onsite health clinics, uniforms, discounted meals, and other benefits to support

Qualifications

• Prior groundskeeping/landscaping experience operating mowers and trimmers.
• Must be willing to commit to a 6 day work week with one half day weekend shift.
• Ability to operate trucks and light motorized equipment; use hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Operates mowers and trimmers to maintain greens, aprons, tees, and surrounding areas.
• Performs course setup tasks such as cup cutting, tee block placement, divot filling, and waste removal.
• Maintains equipment and reports issues; waters and fertilizes tees, greens, fairways, and rough.
• Assists in construction and grading of new greens/tees/fairways and sod laying.

Job Overview:

All aspects of golf course maintenance on a daily basis to provide a premium golf experience to our guests including, but not limited to; mowing, trimmer work, edging, bunker maintenance, divot filling, sodding, course set up, landscaping and construction projects.

Schedule

Monday - Friday 5:20 AM - 2:30 PM, Saturday & Sunday's 5:20 AM - 9:30 AM. This position is SEASONAL.

Create Your Path: The Work You'll Do

• Operates mowers and trimmers to maintain greens, aprons, tees, around tees, fence lines, banks and hillsides; edges cart paths; rakes, edges and maintains sand bunkers.
• Involved in the daily setup of the course which includes but is not limited to: cutting cups, setting tee blocks, filling divots on fairways and tee boxes, and emptying trash.
• Maintains fuel and fluid levels for all types of equipment on a daily basis; reports equipment problems and failures to Equipment Supervisor immediately.
• Waters and fertilizes tees, greens, fairways, and rough.
• Marks the course for cart control; moves cart control barriers; and may mark hazard and drop areas.
• Helps in project work; assists in the construction of new greens, tees and fairways; grades and prepares soil base; lays sod; and seeds tees, greens and fairways.

Required Experience

• Prior experience of grounds keeping/landscaping work which includes the safe operation of mowers, trimmers, and similar equipment.
• Must be willing to commit 6 day work week, which includes one half day weekend shift
• Working knowledge of and ability to use hand and power tools and equipment.
• Ability to operate trucks and light motorized equipment.
• Valid Class D driver's license may be required with a good driving record.
• Ability to perform and/or manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions while standing 75% of the time.
