Job summary

Prestonwood Country Club in Cary, NC, is seeking a dedicated Golf Course Maintenance Landscape Crew Member to support three championship courses. This full-time role offers outdoor work and the chance to contribute to exceptional playing conditions daily.

Responsibilities include daily course setup, mowing, greens and bunkers maintenance, and supporting irrigation and drainage projects. The position requires a strong work ethic, teamwork, and safety focus, with pay $13.50–$16.75 per hour based

Qualifications

• Experience using landscape or grounds maintenance equipment preferred, but not required.
• Must be at least 16 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Mow and trim turf using walk-behind and riding equipment.
• Maintain greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers.
• Repair divots, pitch marks and ball marks for course conditions.
• Edge around sprinkler heads and landscape features.
• Operate rough mowers, tractors and other maintenance machinery.
• Perform daily equipment checks and report issues to supervisors.
• Assist with irrigation installation/repair and other course projects.
• Work outdoors in varied weather conditions.

Golf Course Maintenance Landscape Crew Member

What You’ll Do

• Preparing golf courses for daily play during early morning course setup
• Mowing and trimming turf using both walk-behind and riding equipment
• Maintaining greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers
• Repairing divots, pitch marks, and ball marks to ensure excellent course conditions
• Edging around sprinkler heads and other landscape features
• Operating equipment such as rough mowers, tractors, and other maintenance machinery
• Performing daily equipment checks, including fuel, oil, coolant, and grease levels
• Reporting equipment damage or mechanical issues to supervisors
• Assisting with special projects, including irrigation installation and repair, drainage improvements, tee construction, turf installation, tree removal, and other golf course enhancement projects
• Working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions

Qualifications

• Previous experience using landscape or grounds maintenance equipment preferred, but not required
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Must be at least 16 years old
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening

Schedule

• Hours vary, typically between 6:00 AM and dusk
• Monday through Friday
• Every other weekend required

Compensation

Competitive tiered pay: $13.50–$16.75 per hour

Pay is based on experience, skills, and ability to operate maintenance equipment.
