Job summary

Troon International is seeking an experienced Irrigation Technician for Gateway Golf Course in Montgomery, AL. The role focuses on operating, maintaining, and repairing the course's irrigation system and related water features.

Qualifications

• Certificate from college or technical school, or 3–6 months related experience/training, or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to read and speak English may be required to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Operate, service and repair irrigation system components.
• Perform preventative maintenance on the irrigation system and water features.
• Determine wet and dry areas for sprinkler head adjustments.
• Inventory and stock irrigation parts and tools to minimize downtime.
• Maintain pump station maintenance knowledge and perform related repairs.
• Inspect system for leaks and electrical issues; document repairs daily.
• Prioritize irrigation breaks and manage time efficiently.
• Conduct monthly checks of sprinkler heads across the facility.
• Perform winterization and blowout of irrigation lines and equipment.
• Adhere to safe work practices and maintain regular attendance.
• Perform other duties as required.
