Job summary

Alhambra Golf Course in Alhambra, CA, is seeking a full-time Irrigation Technician to join Troon, a global leader in golf and community management.

The role focuses on maintaining and repairing irrigation systems, ensuring course operations, and supporting safety and turf health. Compensation ranges from $17.00 to $22.00 per hour depending on experience, with benefits described in the posting.

Qualifications

Valid driver's license required.
Ability to operate trucks and light equipment.
Knowledge of basic electricity and hydraulics in irrigation systems.
Knowledge of agronomy, turfgrass science, and golf rules.
Demonstrated leadership, dependability and safety awareness.
Willingness to learn and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

Supervise a small labor force for special projects.
Report golf course conditions to the superintendent.
Open maintenance shop and run operations in absence of the superintendent.
Repair and ensure proper operation of irrigation system; water greens, tees and fairways.
Repair greens with seeds or plugs of new grass as needed.
Aerify greens; verticut and mow tees/greens; operate equipment.
Change pins and tee markers as needed.
Ensure a safe work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
