Job summary

Century Golf Partners is seeking an irrigation specialist to manage programming, operation, and maintenance of the golf course irrigation system. The role reports to the course superintendent and helps ensure turf quality.

You will perform water management across greens, tees and fairways, repair components, and support course operations. A strong knowledge of irrigation, electricity, hydraulics, and turf science is required, along with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic electricity and hydraulics related to irrigation systems.
• Understanding of agronomy, turfgrass science and the rules of golf.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Waters greens, tees and fairways.
• Operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water.
• Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as needed.
• Completes requests for irrigation and course parts and supplies.
• Grades and prepares soil base; lays sod; and seeds greens, tees and fairways.
• Operates dump trucks and other light equipment in hauling materials and removing debris.
• Occasionally supervises a small labor force for special projects, and performs other duties as directed by supervisor.
