Job summary

American Golf Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Irrigator to oversee the golf course irrigation system, ensuring optimal turf health and water efficiency. You will manage schedules, troubleshoot issues, and maintain pumps, valves, and related infrastructure under limited supervision.

Working with the Superintendent and maintenance team, you will perform preventive maintenance, coordinate with crews for events, and ensure safety and environmental compliance to deliver reliable irrigation

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of irrigation or related field experience.
Experience with golf course or landscape environments preferred.
Ability to read irrigation plans and technical manuals.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Bilingual Spanish may be beneficial in some locations.

Responsibilities

Operate, monitor, and adjust irrigation systems to maintain turf and landscape conditions.
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation components including pipes, valves, sprinkler heads, controllers, and pumps.
Program and manage irrigation schedules based on weather, soil moisture, and course needs.
Perform preventive maintenance on irrigation systems and related equipment.
Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues within irrigation control systems.
Maintain pump stations, filtration systems, and water distribution equipment.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, water usage, and system performance.
Coordinate with maintenance team to support course operations and events.
Ensure compliance with water usage regulations and environmental guidelines.
Train and support team members on irrigation practices and equipment use.
