Job summary

The City of Burnet is seeking a non-supervisory Golf Course Maintenance worker to perform maintenance of the golf course and facilities. You will operate and direct a range of heavy equipment, and help care for turf, irrigation, and related structures.

Responsibilities include mowing, edging, seeding, irrigation work, and basic repairs to plumbing, carpentry, and landscaping. Candidate must be able to lift heavy weights and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid Texas driver's license with clean record.
• Able to pass pre-employment screenings and background check.
• Willing to work weekends, holidays and after hours.

Responsibilities

• Mow, weed eat, edge, seed, fertilize, aerate, and apply pesticides as needed.
• Plant turf, trees, shrubs, and flowers; prune trees.
• Maintain and clean sand bunkers; inspect and repair equipment.
• Assist irrigation, plumbing, carpentry, and painting tasks.
• Operate heavy equipment and various mowers; perform winter maintenance.
