City of Midland is seeking a team-oriented individual to perform routine maintenance on our municipal golf course. The role involves mowing and maintaining greens, tees, and fairways, with opportunities to assist on construction projects and operate course maintenance equipment.

Candidates should be able to read work orders and equipment manuals, handle various hand tools, and work outdoors in seasonal temperatures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Texas driver's license required.
• Knowledge of golf course helpful.
• Ability to read and understand work orders and equipment manuals.
• Experience with hand tools and equipment such as mowers, powered trimmers and saws is beneficial.

Responsabilités

• Performs routine golf course maintenance.

• Operates and maintains equipment used in daily operations; fills out reports.

• Performs related duties as required.

Ability to sit, stand and transport self from building to building. Ability to drive vehicle to and from various work sites. Employee will work in seasonal temperatures bending, lifting and moving pieces of equipment in order to complete work or make repairs on golf course equipment. Employee may be exposed to potentially hazardous chemicals while maintaining golf course.Employee communicates with other employees in the work group and may respond to questions from the public or vendors regarding services or specific projects.

Ability to read and understand work orders and equipment manuals. Skill in the operation of hand tools and equipment such as mowers powered trimmers, saws and other gardening and maintenance tools. Knowledge of golf course helpful.
