Job summary

Harry L Jones Golf Course in Charlotte, NC is seeking a full-time Mechanic to perform major repairs on gasoline and diesel power equipment used on the golf course.

You will maintain preventive maintenance, diagnose mechanical issues, and perform machining or welding as needed. A certificate from college or technical school or equivalent experience is required, with hands-on John Deere equipment service experience. This role is based on-site with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Certificate from college or technical school or equivalent listed.
• Hands-on experience servicing John Deere equipment required.
• Experience with turf or construction machinery preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a preventative maintenance program and tracks parts.
• Orders parts and supplies for equipment and tracks expenses.
• Inspects and repairs mechanical defects in golf course maintenance equipment.
• Performs mowing equipment sharpening, motor overhauls, and braking system work.
• Maintains records of maintenance and parts ordered.
• Maintains knowledge of construction and maintenance equipment.
