Troon is hiring a Full-Time Mechanic at the Charlotte, NC site. A strong preventive maintenance mindset and hands-on mechanical skills are required.

The position involves ordering parts, tracking expenses, and ensuring safe, efficient operation of the fleet. Compensation is hourly, based on experience, with benefits offered by the employer.

Qualifications

• Certificate from college or technical school, or 3–6 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience servicing and repairing John Deere agricultural, turf, or construction equipment is required.
• Ability to read and follow maintenance manuals and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a preventative maintenance program on all equipment and purchases repair parts.
• Inspects, diagnoses, and repairs mechanical defects on golf course maintenance equipment.
• Performs machining or welding to fabricate repair fittings as needed.
• Maintains records of maintenance, repairs, and parts usage.
