Job summary

Invited — The Clubs of Kingwood is seeking a Mechanic to assist in the maintenance, repair, and operation of golf course equipment, ensuring reliable performance and supporting preventative programs. You will work under the Head Mechanic and Equipment Manager to troubleshoot issues, document repairs, and help maintain inventory and tools.

You will also participate in training grounds staff and adhere to safety guidelines while contributing to club standards and a clean course environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in golf course equipment or small engine repairs.
• Minimum of 1 year hands-on experience with various types of golf course maintenance equipment.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventive maintenance and repair of all golf course maintenance equipment as directed by the Head Mechanic/Equipment Manager.
• Repair and maintain golf course maintenance equipment, addressing complex issues and ensuring equipment reliability under the direction of the Head Mechanic and/or Equipment Manager.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area for equipment repairs and ensure tools are securely stored.
• Document equipment repairs and replacement parts purchases as instructed.
• Help manage inventory levels of petroleum products, replacement parts, and shop supplies per guidelines.
• Provide recommendations to the Head Mechanic or Equipment Manager regarding the need for new or replacement capital equipment.
• Assist in training grounds staff on the safe and proper operation of maintenance equipment.
• Ensure daily assignments are completed to club standards, including keeping the course free of trash and debris.
