Job summary

Cimarron Hills Golf and Country Club in Georgetown, TX, is seeking a full-time Assistant Superintendent to contribute to member and guest experiences while growing knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you will help manage maintenance, supervise staff and advance course improvements in a globally respected organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree or equivalent with 3–4 years related experience.
• Preference for agronomy/horticulture/plant/soil science background.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook; able to obtain pesticide license within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Superintendent to maintain the annual golf course maintenance budget and capital plans.
• Supervise and assist maintenance staff in daily duties.
• Plan and direct maintenance and construction of greens, tees, fairways, roughs and bunkers.
• Supervise planting and cultural practices for turf grasses, trees and ornamentals.
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained and costs stay within budget.
• Keep records of maintenance activities and prepare required reports.
• Follow purchasing procedures and use preferred vendors when possible.
• Reconcile invoices, payroll and other documents in a timely manner.
• Coordinate snow removal where applicable and ensure compliance with regulations.
