Job summary

Cimarron Hills Golf & Country Club in Georgetown, Texas, part of Troon, is hiring a full-time Assistant Superintendent to support the golf course maintenance program and grow expertise in course operations.

Qualified candidates will assist in budgeting, supervise staff, and coordinate maintenance of greens, tees, and fairways while ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and cost controls. A pesticide license within 6 months is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in agronomy, horticulture, plant or soil science (or equivalent) and related experience.
• 3–4 years of related experience in golf course maintenance or agronomy preferred.
• Ability to obtain a pesticide license within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in executing the annual maintenance budget and capital plans.
• Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate daily duties.
• Plan and direct maintenance and construction of greens, tees, fairways, roughs and bunkers.
• Oversee planting and cultural practices for grasses, trees and ornamentals.
• Ensure equipment maintenance and proper procurement within budget.
• Maintain records and assist in preparing reports on maintenance activities and costs.
• Coordinate snow removal as needed and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Develop training programs and orient new associates; monitor manpower and productivity.
