Job summary

Thompson Golf Group in Arizona is seeking an assistant golf course superintendent who will support the course superintendent in maintaining tees, greens, fairways, and cart paths, and will help supervise irrigation, drainage, and equipment operations. You will plan work, supervise staff, ensure safety, and may stand in for the superintendent during absences.

This Full Time role requires a valid driver's license and familiarity with pesticides and Covid-19 safety protocols.

Qualifications

Knowledge of turf maintenance and irrigation systems.
Ability to schedule and supervise maintenance work.
Valid driver's license.
Potential pesticide applicator license.
Covid-19 safety protocol understanding.

Responsibilities

Assist in planning and supervising greens, tees, and fairways; schedules work and supervises employees and equipment use.
Instructs operators on mowing and other equipment; supervises pesticide application and/or calibration of pesticide equipment; supervises pumps, irrigation and drainage systems.
Align with the superintendent to complete tasks to high standards and achieve team goals.
Assist in personnel management, safety, and discipline.
May modify daily work schedule based on daily needs of the property.
