Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Golf Course Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily operations across our golf facilities. You will plan and supervise turf care, irrigation, chemical applications and staff training, ensuring high standards and safety.

Ideal candidates have turf management education and at least two years of supervision experience, with strong communication skills and proficiency in computer-based task tracking.

• Degree in golf course or turf management (or related field) with substantial turf/golf coursework.
• Minimum of two years of management experience.
• GCSAA Class A or CGCS preferred.
• Virginia pesticide/fertilizer license preferred.
• Valid Virginia driver’s license or CDL required.
• Advanced agronomy and turf grass management knowledge.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must read, speak and write English; able to use a computer regularly.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee golf course maintenance operations across courses and facilities.
• Assign daily tasks using Task Tracker or similar software.
• Manage course setup, chemical and fertilizer applications.
• Train staff on equipment use and safety.
• Oversee irrigation repairs and turf maintenance.

• Coordinate with Pro Shop and clubhouse operations.

Responsibilities include but not limited to: The golf courses, maintenance equipment, maintenance center, sod nursery, water features, etc.

• Daily task assignments for the staff using Task Tracker or other software as needed
• Course Set-up
• Chemical and Fertilizer applications
• Training Staff on all equipment and task
• Irrigation repairs
• Payroll
• Operations of Turfbreeze fans and Subair
• Basic Knowledge of the Clubhouse, Resort, Activity Center and housing irrigation systems
• Communication with Pro Shop

Required Skills/Abilities

• Two or four-year degree preferably in golf course or turf grass management or related field. If the degree is not specifically in turf or golf course management, candidates with other degree must have extensive training in turf or golf course management field.
• Two years management experience required
• GCSAA Class A or CGCS in good standing preferred
• Valid Virginia pesticide/fertilizer license preferred
• Must possess and maintain a valid Virginia driver's license or CDL, meet the requirements of driver insurability as established by the Employer's insurance carrier and must immediately report any change in status of the license to the Employer.
• Requires advanced knowledge of agronomy and turf grass management practices; a working knowledge of golf facility construction principles, practices and methods; and a thorough understanding of the rules and strategies of the game of golf
• Requires excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Comprehend reading materials, speak, read and write English
• Must be able to frequently use a computer.

Working Conditions/Environment

Majority of the work is performed outdoors in various weather and ground conditions common to Virginia.

• Exposure to maintenance equipment; including but not limited to moving parts, heights, noise, airborne debris, vibration and fumes.
• Maintain a clean, safe and environmentally responsible work environment.

Physical & Mental Requirements

• Have physical strength, stamina and agility at levels necessary to perform common golf course operations tasks.
• Employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Must be able to walk, sit and stand for a long period of time, as a daily routine.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with the general public
• Must be able to ascend/descend stairs and slopes as a daily routine.
• Must be able to professionally interact and participate with co-workers and have a sense of TEAM.
