Colonial Heritage Club in Williamsburg is seeking a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Worker to keep turf, greens, bunkers, and landscapes at peak playability. You will operate course equipment, apply fertilizers and pesticides per regulations, and help with irrigation, repairs, and seasonal adjustments.

The role demands 3–5 years of turf experience, a high school diploma, and a pesticide certification or willingness to obtain it. A valid driver’s license and teamwork mindset are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain golf course turf, bunkers, greens, and landscaping to high playability standards.
• Operate and maintain mowers, tractors, and course equipment.

• Monitor course conditions, identify issues, and recommend solutions.
• Assist in irrigation management, repairs, and seasonal adjustments.
• Support daily course setup and project-based improvements.
• Work closely with leadership to maintain a safe, efficient, and productive environment.
• Follow all safety procedures while reporting hazards and supporting a safety-first culture.

Compensation and Benefits:

$15.00 - $18.00/hr. Full‑Time Team Members receive benefits including health, dental, vision, and life, 401(k), STD, LTD, paid holiday, vacation, personal & sick time, lean management training, and numerous other employee discount benefits through our HR provider LL Roberts.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Maintain golf course turf, bunkers, greens, and landscaping to high playability standards

What We’re Looking For:

• 3‑5 years of experience in golf course maintenance or turf management

• Advanced understanding of turf care, equipment operation, and regulatory compliance
• State pesticide application certification (or willingness to obtain/maintain—required)
• Valid driver’s license

Environment:

• Regular walking, standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, and equipment operation
• Frequent work in heat, cold, rain, and varying outdoor conditions
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts and occasional exposure to biological materials
• Evening and weekend shifts, especially during peak seasons
