Job summary

Arcis Golf's Montgomery Country Club in Laytonsville, MD is seeking a Senior Assistant Superintendent to lead the golf course maintenance team, oversee agronomy operations, irrigation systems, and renovations, while delivering peak playing conditions for members and guests.

The role requires turf management education or progressive golf-industry experience, 4–5 years of supervisory experience, a state pesticide license (or ability to obtain in 60 days), and strong leadership and communication

Qualifications

• Formal education in turf management or progressive golf industry experience.
• Supervisory experience with a golf course management team (4–5 years).
• State pesticide license or ability to obtain within 60 days. Experience with irrigation management is required.
• Experience with irrigation systems maintenance and turf applications.

Responsibilities

• Manages, supervises, and assists the maintenance department day-to-day activities.
• Promotes Arcis Golf philosophies to employees, members, and guests.
• Assists superintendent with supervision and growth of the agronomy team.
• Experience with irrigation systems maintenance, repair and operation.
• Assist with golf course renovation and construction projects.
