Job summary

American Golf Corporation is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support daily course operations, staffing, and profitability. You will lead a team, drive member engagement, and manage revenue, budgets, and facilities.

You will work closely with leadership to meet performance goals, foster teamwork, and communicate business objectives across departments. Prior golf or hospitality management experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5 years management experience, preferably in the golf industry.
• Proficient with common software and POS systems.
• PGA/LPGA certification preferred and college degree required.
• Proficient with CRM and office productivity tools.
• Strong time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to build and foster a team environment.
• Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist General Manager in all facets of daily operation, acting as manager on duty in the absence of the General Manager.
• Maintain and expand membership by handling member and guest concerns and issues.
• Foster open communication with members and guests by remaining highly visible.
• Generate revenue by overseeing reservations and pricing, monitoring tee sheets for demand opportunities.
• Expand sales by initiating monthly promotions and demand management strategies.
• Use POS systems for processing purchases and credit card transactions.
• Answer the telephone, and manage the reservation system.
• Utilize tee sheet demand management strategies to optimize bookings.
• Assist in budget and expense management by labor scheduling and reviewing AP/AR and reports.
• Assist in managing staff by conducting meetings and upholding HR policies.
• Manage facilities by working with Superintendent and department heads.
• Follow safety guidelines, conduct safety meetings, monitor cash handling, investigate security concerns.
• Implement and support American Golf initiatives and programs as requested by management.
• Other duties may be assigned by management.
