Job summary

Des Plaines Park District seeks a Range Picker at the Golf Center to maintain the golf ball range, nets, and ball room operations. You will assist with carts, water, and daily reporting to the Front Desk, ensuring a smooth customer experience.

The role requires independence, availability for days, nights, weekends and holidays, and a valid IL driver’s license. This is a part-time position with park-wide staff perks.

Qualifications

• Education: Less than High School.
• Must be at least 18 years old; no prior work experience required.
• Valid IL Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Pick the range of golf balls and maintain netting on the range.
• Change water in ball washer and wash out; keep ball room clean and orderly.
• Maintain range picker cart and ensure fuel & oil are topped up.
• Fill out daily reports and submit to Front Desk.
• Rake balls from nets and range area; monitor ball box levels.
• Check conveyors and blowers; report issues to supervisor.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.

In addition, help with other seasonal duties as assigned by supervisor.ESSENTIAL DUTIESPick the range of golf balls; maintain netting on range.Change water in ball washer and wash out; keep ball room clean and orderly.Maintain range picker cart.
