Job summary

Wild Dunes Resort on Isle of Palms, SC seeks a Golf Cart Starter/Ambassador to warmly greet players and guests before their rounds. You’ll help maintain tee-start order, answer facility questions, and enforce dress code and etiquette standards.

Responsibilities include assisting with check-ins, pacing play, supporting group events, and delivering outstanding guest service aligned with our values of empathy and integrity.

Qualifications

• High school education required.
• Prior hospitality experience preferred.
• At least one-year customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of the game of golf preferred.

Description

The Starters will provide all players or non-playing guests with an anticipated, well-informed and enthusiastic greeting. They willassist the Golf Professional in maintaining orderly tee time starts, enforcing golf dress code and monitoring golf course etiquette. Have thorough knowledge of the golf course and policies so as to appropriately answer inquiries from guest about facility and services. Helping keep the course clean and helping create an enjoyable golf experience for all guests. Provides the highest possible level of customer service through continual adherence and support of the mission statement.

• Greeting every golfer prior to the start of their round.
• Assure that all golfers have checked in at the golf shop.

Qualifications

++Experience & Education:++

• High school education required

• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, cold, sun & heat);
• Must be able to stand & walk throughout the day, including on uneven surfaces;

• Must be able to bend, squat, & twist on an occasional basis
• Must be able to perform simple grasping, squeezing, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently; and fine manipulation occasionally.
