Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa in San Antonio, TX, seeks a Guest Services Starter to warmly greet guests, assist the Golf Professional, and ensure a smooth start to rounds. The Starters will provide all players or non-playing guests with an anticipated, well-informed and enthusiastic greeting. They willassist the Golf Professional in maintaining orderly tee time starts, enforcing golf dress code and monitoring golf course etiquette. Have thorough knowledge of the golf course and policies so as to appropriately answer inquiries from guest about facility and services. Helping keep the course clean and helping create an enjoyable golf experience for all guests. Provides the highest possible level of customer service through continual adherence and support of the mission statement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Greeting every golfer prior to the start of their round.
• Assure that all golfers have checked in at the golf shop.

Qualifications

Experience & Education:

• High school education required
• Prior hospitality experience preferred
• At least one-year customer service experience preferred
• Knowledge of the game of golf preferred

• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, cold, sun & heat);
• Must be able to stand & walk throughout the day, including on uneven surfaces;

• Must be able to bend, squat, & twist on an occasional basis
• Must be able to perform simple grasping, squeezing, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently;and fine manipulation occasionally.
