Job Description
Golf Cart Attendant
Basic Function
The golf cart attendant works closely with Management and the Golf Professional on the outside golf operations to assure a smooth transition for members and their guest around the club. Primary responsibility falls on service to members, efficiency of cart loading, cart cleanliness, staging, and storing.
Work Performed
- Cleaning and maintaining golf carts, ensuring they are fully charged or fueled, and stocked with supplies.
- Greeting guests, assisting with cart rentals, loading and unloading clubs, answering questions, and providing course information.
- Observing pace of play, providing assistance as needed, and ensuring a smooth golfing experience.
- Maintaining the cart barn, staging and storing carts, and performing other general tasks as assigned.
- Performing opening and closing inventories, collecting fees for cart rentals, and potentially assisting with pro shop inventory.
- Adhering to safety procedures, maintaining cleanliness in work areas, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable golfing environment.
- Communicating effectively with golf shop staff, other attendants, and golfers, and demonstrating teamwork and problem-solving skills.
- Report to your supervisor before ending your shift.
- All other projects as assigned by management.
Responsibility & Authority
- Basic knowledge of golf cart service.
- Ability to understand verbal English to comprehend basic guest requests.
- Ability to understand written English to read any caution or safety notices.
- Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, transport up to 45 lbs. through a crowded room.
- Work efficiently & as a team
- Knowledge of resort layout
- Observe all safety procedures during the execution of assigned duties.
- Practice standard 10-5-3 rule
- Observe all resort policies regarding uniform, hygiene and grooming.
Minimum Requirements
Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Prior golf club experience helpful. Needs to be flexible, self-motivated, and positive and have a professional attitude towards guests, co-workers and management. Must also be able to perform all related duties as assigned.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this role.
