Job summary

Forsyth County's Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a Part Time Golf Assistant for Tanglewood Golf. You will open/close the golf shop, collect fees, schedule tee times, and support golf events. The role mainly operates from the clubhouse shop but may also cover the Par 3 facility and cart area.

The Golf Shop is open seven days a week with hours varying by season; holidays and weekends are required. Schedule may vary weekly, and prior golf operations or hospitality experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write information relevant to perform the work.
• Golf operations experience and/or experience in the hospitality industry strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Explain golf cart guidelines to the public.
• Assist in scheduling and maintenance of golf carts.
• Pick up golf balls at the driving range and reset the hitting area.
• Assist with golf tournaments.
• Perform related work as required.

Summary

Tanglewood Golf is seeking an individual with excellent customer service skills who enjoys working with the public. This positions responsibilities include opening and closing the golf shop, collecting fees for golf, scheduling tee times and assisting with golf events. This employee will primarily work in the golf shop at the clubhouse, but may also fill in at the Par 3 facility and cart area.

The Golf Shop is open seven days a week and hours vary by season. Employees work on holidays and weekends. Schedule may vary weekly.
