Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
• Extensive knowledge of Federal, California and Santa Barbara County environmental regulations and permitting requirements.
• Experience leading environmental audits and regulatory inspections.
• Experience managing environmental consultants and contractor services.
• Ability to travel to field locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary environmental advisor for assigned onshore and offshore oil and gas operations.
• Lead environmental compliance efforts to ensure adherence with all applicable federal, state, and local environmental laws, regulations permits, and company standards.
• Interpret complex environmental regulations and provide guidance to operations and leadership regarding compliance obligations and environmental risk management.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve environmental management systems, policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Prepare, review, and submit environmental reports, permit applications, compliance documentation, and regulatory filings to internal leadership and government agencies.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, or related field
