Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Underground Fixed Maintenance Technician to join our team at Goldstrike underground operations. This role requires a background in underground mining, maintenance, and metals, with a strong commitment to a safe work environment.

The position involves reporting to the Underground Fixed Maintenance Supervisor and performing preventative maintenance and repair of fixed mining equipment, including crushers, conveyors, and pumps, at both surface and underground

Qualifications

• Experience in underground mining maintenance.
• Ability to read precision measuring tools and perform repairs.
• Strong safety and attendance record.
• Knowledge of conveyors, pumps, hydraulics and pneumatics.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Underground Fixed Maintenance Supervisor.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repair of surface and underground fixed mining equipment such as crushers, conveyors, concrete mixing systems, pumps, etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of conveyor systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair all pumps.
• Basic fabrication skills (welding, cutting, brazing, arc welding, air arc).
• Ability to identify parts needed for repairs by make, model, size, and type.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics; ability to troubleshoot and repair such systems.
• Ability to read and use precision measuring tools, torque wrenches, and hand tools.
• Excellent safety and attendance record.
• Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
