Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Underground Fixed Maintenance Technician to join the Goldrush underground operations. The role focuses on preventative maintenance and repair of fixed mining equipment and supports a safe, high-performing team.

You will work under the Underground Fixed Maintenance Supervisor, applying skills in hydraulics, welding, and pump repair, contributing to reliable equipment, continuous improvement, and a sustainable mining operation in Elko, NV.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of conveyor systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair pumps.
• Basic fabrication skills including welding and cutting, brazing, arc welding, and air arc.
• Ability to identify parts needed for repairs by make, model, size, and type.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics and the ability to apply those skills to troubleshoot and repair systems.
• Ability to read and use precision measuring tools, torque wrenches, and hand tools.
• Excellent safety and attendance record.
• Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job.

• Reporting to the Underground Fixed Maintenance Supervisor, the Underground Fixed Maintenance Technician is responsible for the following:
• Perform preventative maintenance and repair of both surface and underground fixed mining equipment such as crushers, conveyors, concrete mixing systems, pumps etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned
