Job summary

Goldfish Swim School is hiring part-time swim instructors in New Jersey. You do not need prior teaching or lifeguard experience, but you must know how to swim and have a passion for helping children.

The role offers set 4-hour shifts, weekend availability (9:00–3:00), and a growth track from swim instructor to lifeguard and beyond. As an instructor, you’ll prepare lesson materials, teach four swimmers per class (each 30 minutes) following a proven curriculum, and communicate progress to parents.

Qualifications

• Must know how to swim; experience teaching or lifeguarding not required
• Passion for helping others and a fin-tastic personality
• Availability for set weekend shifts (Sat/Sun) 9:00–15:00 or later
• Part-time role with a set weekly schedule and growth opportunities

Responsibilities

• Prepare class materials and review lesson themes for each session
• Teach up to four swimmers per class (30 minutes each) following a proven curriculum
• Communicate progress and celebrate accomplishments with parents at the end of class
• Lifeguard and supervise lessons as needed
