Job summary

Athos Commerce is seeking a backend software engineer to own end-to-end Go services for our flagship search and merchandising products. You will collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and DevOps to refine user stories, evaluate feasibility, and deploy high-availability services.

Ideal candidates have 1–4 years in backend development, experience with distributed cloud-based systems, and production-grade Go services. Remote or hybrid options available in the Denver area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical work experience.
• 1–4 years of professional backend software engineering experience.
• Strong experience building distributed, cloud-based, high-availability systems.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end backend features for search and merchandising backends.
• Take technical ownership of Go microservices and related services.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and DevOps to refine stories and feasibility.
• Produce clean Go code and conduct thorough peer reviews.
• Ensure high reliability, low latency, and SLA-driven performance.
