Job summary

Tomorrow.io is seeking a GNSS Payload Engineer to support development, integration, verification, and on-orbit performance of GNSS payloads for our weather observation constellation. You will work at the intersection of GNSS, RF systems, spacecraft engineering, and atmospheric science, translating mission and scientific objectives into instrument requirements and verification plans.

Qualifications

• 4–7+ years in GNSS, RF payload, or related system engineering.
• Strong fundamentals in GNSS signals and receiver operation.
• Experience with GNSS receivers, RF front ends, antennas, timing references, oscillators, or signal-processing interfaces.
• Familiarity with measurement-error sources and performance drivers.

Responsibilities

• Support development, integration, verification, and on-orbit performance of GNSS payload systems.
• Translate mission needs into payload requirements, interfaces, and verification plans.
• Support GNSS/RF performance analyses, including link budgets and receiver sensitivity.
• Design, characterize, and validate GNSS receivers, RF front ends, antennas, and timing references.
• Collaborate across payload, spacecraft, software, systems, and science teams to manage risks.
• Document requirements, interfaces, verification results, and analyses.
