Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector seeks junior to mid-level engineers to support GNC systems for space vehicles in on-site roles across multiple locations, including Redondo Beach, CA. The position involves design, development, and testing of guidance, navigation, and control algorithms for rendezvous and proximity operations.

Candidates should have a background in flight dynamics, state estimation, and simulation, and be prepared for on-site work with potential travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with related GNC experience.
• Experience in guidance, navigation, and control concepts.
• Experience with software/hardware-in-the-loop testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and tune relative guidance solutions for Rendezvous and Proximity Operations (RPO).
• Develop, verify, and test GNC trackers, filters, and controllers.
• Build, test, and integrate software and simulation tools for space vehicle GNC.
• Develop and validate high-fidelity 3DoF/6DoF models and simulations.
