Job summary

FutureCare in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a CNA-1 to join our frontline health care team and help residents with daily living, comfort, and safety.

You will assist nursing staff, monitor vital signs, complete required documentation, provide companionship, transport residents when needed, and help keep residents active and engaged. • Perform vital signs on residents at the beginning of each shift and as directed.
• Answer calls for assistance and observe changes in residents’ behavior, emotional state, or physical condition.
• Complete required documentation in a timely manner.
• Assist in transporting residents as needed.
• Provide companionship to residents.
• Ensure the safety of our residents.
• Assist with motivating residents to help keep them active and engaged.
• Maintain a clean and healthy environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current CNA-1 certification in Maryland.
• Must possess a positive and professional attitude.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Previous experience working in a skilled nursing facility is a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to remain calm and patient when dealing with residents.
• Ability to listen attentively is essential.
• Ability to problem solve and work well under pressure.
• A willingness to navigate changes in assignments.
• Ability to show empathy and compassion while interacting with residents to increase their comfort level.
