Job summary

MidState Medical Center in Connecticut is seeking a Registered Nurse for night shifts, with orientation completed. This RN role is part of the Family Birthing float pool, serving patients with compassion and clinical excellence.

Under the supervision of the Clinical Manager, you will provide nursing care that meets the State Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies, while coordinating with the care team to address physical, emotional, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients and families.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred
• Current RN license in CT
• Must have previous RN experience
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high volume environment
• Self-directed in the management of patient care

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies, and medical staff directions.
• Develop a plan of care using the nursing process to meet the needs of patients and families.
• Incorporate patients' age-specific needs into planning and care delivery.

Education

Under the direction and general supervision of the Clinical Manager, the Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, policies and procedures of the hospital and as directed by the medical staff. The Registered Nurse (RN) who through knowledge and ability utilizes the nursing process to develop a plan of care which includes standards of practice to meet the physical, emotional spiritual, cultural and educational needs of the patient and family. Incorporates the needs and behaviors of patient's age group in planning and providing care.
