Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Spacecraft GN&C Systems Engineer to drive requirements, interfaces, and analyses for GN&C subsystems. You will work across simulations, hardware-in-the-loop, and vehicle systems teams to assure performance and safety in a multi-vehicle context.

The role emphasizes model-based development using Simulink and C/C++, Monte Carlo analyses, and rigorous verification. Strong communication and U.S. eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• B.S. in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering.
• Applied industry experience and/or advanced degree focused on GN&C requirements, interfaces, trades, and analyses.
• Experience modeling GN&C components and evaluating performance via simulation, testing or analysis.
• Understanding of GN&C, vehicle sizing, and vehicle automation relationships.
• Knowledge in control, navigation, and astrodynamics fundamentals.
• Experience in C/C++.
• Experience designing and evaluating Monte Carlo simulations, hardware-in-the-loop, and software-in-the-loop testing.
• Experience with configuration and product data management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• U.S. citizen/national or eligible per visa/work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Support early feasibility studies and subsystem architecture development.
• Derive and develop subsystem requirements; perform analyses to validate requirements.
• Collaborate to define subsystem boundaries and interfaces.
• Support simulations and tools for verification of subsystem functionalities.
• Support verification and testing to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Develop and maintain the simulation infrastructure tools.
• Develop and integrate multidisciplinary models for multi-vehicle simulation using Simulink and C/C++.
