Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Engineer in Guidance Navigation and Control (Level 2/3) to support Advanced Weapons in Northridge, CA, with 100% on-site work. The role focuses on developing and integrating GN&C algorithms, simulation frameworks, and mission analysis for air and missile systems.

The candidate will collaborate with air vehicle and subsystem engineers, develop CONOPs and TTPs, and contribute to proposals and trade studies while maintaining a DoD clearance.

Qualifications

• Requires a DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
• Experience with Guidance, Navigation, and Control algorithms
• Experience with high-fidelity flight/orbital dynamics simulation

Responsibilities

• Drive full cycle mission trajectories from requirements to analysis and operations
• Perform trajectory design and optimization for missile missions
• Develop flight constants and guidance parameters to meet mission requirements
• Create software automation tools for mission design, analysis, testing, and reporting
• Support full mission lifecycle from sales to execution
• Interact with customers to plan current missions and future business
