Job summary

Alamarbiosciences in Fremont, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Associate I for a temporary assignment to support formulation and manufacture of biological and chemical reagents. The role requires meticulous technique, aseptic handling, and strict contamination control to protect material integrity.

You will work under GMP/GDP, follow batch records, and help with routine manufacturing tasks, inventory, and safety. Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences with 1–2 years’ experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biological Science, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Bioengineering, or related field with 1–2 years of reagent manufacturing experience.
• Proficiency with micropipettes and routine molecular biology laboratory techniques.
• Ability to follow detailed SOPs, MPRs, and work instructions and maintain complete and accurate records.
• Understanding of aseptic technique and prevention of cross-contamination; direct experience handling proteins, antibodies, antigens, or temperature-sensitive materials preferred.
• Ability to perform small-volume liquid handling, dilutions, aliquoting, and material reconciliation.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving; able to stop work and escalate unexpected conditions.
• Experience in ISO 13485, GMP, or other regulated environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Formulate biological and chemical reagents in accordance with manufacturing records, SOPs, and Quality System policies.
• Perform antigen reconstitution, dilution, mixing, aliquoting, and storage using approved procedures and equipment.
• Maintain temperature-sensitive materials under specified storage and handling conditions.
• Assist with high-priority manufacturing activities including filling, labeling, and packaging.
• Complete MPRs and manufacturing records in accordance with GDP.
• Track and maintain inventory of consumables and raw materials.
• Participate in general laboratory maintenance and calibration.
• Support troubleshooting to investigate manufacturing issues.
• Support routine inventory cycle counts.
• Maintain a safe working environment and comply with laboratory safety practices.
