Job summary

Top Gum North America, located in Copiague, NY, is seeking a Quality Control Technician to ensure product quality in a GMP-regulated environment. You will test raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods, and help maintain QC documentation and sampling procedures.

The role requires a diploma in Food Science or related field, HACCP knowledge, and strong English communication. The position is permanent, full-time, with 12-hour shifts in a busy manufacturing facility.

Qualifications

• A diploma/degree in Food Science or related life science is required.
• HACCP and related food safety knowledge.
• Knowledge of QA/Control practices in a GMP manufacturing environment.
• Previous quality experience in a food manufacturing facility is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Test raw materials, in-process, and finished products (pH, brix, weight, moisture, labeling).
• Assist with sampling of raw materials and finished goods and release through Vicinity software.
• Conduct final QC checks of the finished product.
• Maintain retain samples for raw and packaging materials and finished goods; record results.
• Control/hold OOS or non-conforming products and initiate corrective actions.
• Enforce GMP compliance in Production/Packaging/Warehouse areas.
• Perform environmental monitoring and upkeep of lab equipment and records.
