Job summary

TopGum Industries in Copiague, NY is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment and facility systems in a GMP-regulated gummy manufacturing environment.

The role performs preventive maintenance, responds to equipment issues, supports regulatory compliance, and partners with cross-functional teams to maximize uptime and drive continuous improvement. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and overtime as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of experience in equipment repair, maintenance and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment, food manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Maintain equipment through a preventive maintenance program; log details in CMMS (Limble).
• Read, interpret, and follow instructions and operation manuals.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Read blueprints and sketches to fabricate equipment and make modifications.
• Repair or replace chains, belt conveyors, gear boxes/drive chains, hydraulics & pneumatics, welding/cutting, and use power tools.
• Maintain HVAC, water softener systems, chiller units and other utilities.
• Prioritize safety in all work activities.
• Focus on continuous improvement to streamline processes.
