Job summary

Grifols in Clayton, NC seeks a Purification Technician I/II to join a GMP environment. The role involves cleaning, assembling and disassembling equipment, maintaining records, and assisting with bulk processing and filtration under 12-hour rotating shifts (6a-6p / 6p-6a).

Level I focuses on housekeeping, GMP compliance, safety, and reagent preparation; Level II adds equipment operation, sample prep, and pre/post filtration tests. Must have a HS diploma; Bioworks certificate preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic math and computer skills required.
• GMP knowledge and attention to detail are essential.
• Ability to work in a team and exercise good judgment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Bioworks Certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general housekeeping to maintain GMP standards.
• Demonstrate knowledge of GMP requirements and safety.
• Prepare cleaning and sanitization reagents and maintain records.
• Assemble, disassemble, clean and sterilize production equipment.
• Operate production equipment (centrifuge, filtration units, autoclaves, etc.).
• Operate forklift safely; perform bulk processing and filtration tasks.
• Maintain real-time documentation during production runs.
• Prepare buffer solutions and store process intermediates.
• Isolate target proteins from intermediates for sterile bulk delivery.
