Job summary

TriNet Group in Huntsville, AL, seeks a chemical processing technician to manufacture and assemble clinical and commercial products. You will weigh and verify raw materials, support filtration/sterilization processes, and maintain a cleanroom environment in line with GMP and SOPs.

The role requires 2–8 years in chemical processing, strong math and communication skills, and the ability to work independently while following detailed procedures. Hazardous materials handling and PPE may be required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or other science-related program, or High School diploma (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2-8 years' experience in a chemical processing area.
• Experience with Safety procedures.
• Solid written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience operating manufacturing or laboratory equipment is required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, ability to perform routine adjustments on standard manufacturing equipment is required.
• Must be able to perform basic math skills (multiplication, division, ratios, and percentages).
• Familiar with the metric systems and conversion methods.
• Ability to multi-task, work in an organized manner, and possess troubleshooting skills.
• Must be detail oriented and able to follow written procedures.
• Employee may be required to wear hearing protection in job tasks.
• May handle chemicals or pharmaceutical agents.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for manufacturing and assembly of clinical and commercial products.
• Weighs, measures and checks raw materials to ensure batches contain proper ingredients and quantities.
• May help in validating processes and equipment related to filtration, cleaning and sterilization.
• Maintains records and clean room environment to comply with regulatory requirements and SOPs.
• Works on moderately complex projects and exercises judgment in problem solving.
• Provide Lab Support for manufacturing suites.
• Learn how to run equipment, read and understand SOPs.
• Support processing by adhering to SOPs.
• Follow HazMat procedures for movement of raw materials used in chemical processes.
• Support investigations and review SOPs.
• Troubleshoot and offer ideas on improvements.
• Interact with other departments to share information.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
