Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a production operations associate to oversee daily production, monitor yields, and adjust processes to ensure quality and efficiency. You will document activities, follow GMP standards, and support maintenance when needed.

The role requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced plant environment, including day, night, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Proficient understanding of speaking, writing (legible), and reading in English.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics and measurements.
• Experience with mechanical equipment is preferred.
• Basic computer skills with MS Office and email applications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production operations and monitor yields; adjust as needed.
• Log operations in batch records and cleaning logs; ensure accuracy.
• Follow GMPs and safety practices at all times; assist maintenance when required.
• Report cGMP, maintenance, process, and inventory issues to supervision.
