Job summary

Bachem Americas in Torrance, CA, seeks an R&D Chemist II for the Process Development Group to purify, analyze and isolate GMP-grade peptides. You will perform preparative and analytical RP-HPLC, follow SOPs and BPRs, and work closely with chemists to meet project timelines and quality goals.

Required are a chemistry/biochemistry/bioengineering degree with hands-on GMP lab experience and strong knowledge of GMP/ICH guidelines. Excellent documentation and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on RP-HPLC and ion exchange chromatography in GMP settings.
• Experience with protein/peptide chemistry in a lab environment.
• Strong GMP and ICH guideline knowledge.
• Proficient data recording and notebook discipline.
• Excellent written and oral communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Purification, analysis, and isolation of GMP-grade peptides under supervision.
• Operate preparative and analytical HPLC and document conditions in BPR.
• Ensure GMP compliance and follow SOPs for all tasks.
• Collaborate with synthetic chemists to meet timelines and quality targets.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards in the lab.
