Job summary

Jost Chemical Co. is hiring a Packaging Operator I for either the 2nd shift (2:30pm–11:00pm) or the Weekend Warrior PM shift (12-hour weekends). You will support GMP-regulated packaging of dry and liquid chemicals, following SOPs and batch records to ensure safety, quality, and compliance.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic math/English, and a strong attention to safety. You will operate packaging equipment, maintain clean workstations, and document outcomes accordingly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic math and English comprehension.
• Knowledge of safety, health, environmental rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine packaging of dry and liquid chemicals following SOPs and Batch Records.
• Operate, monitor, and adjust packaging machinery including start/stop and minor adjustments.
• Observe machine performance to ensure quality and conformity to standards.
• Prepare products and materials for efficient packaging operations.
• Record procedures and packaging activities accurately in Batch Records.
• Inspect and remove defective products or materials and document rejections.
• Test and verify product weight and measurements to meet quality standards.
• Label finished products and record all packaging items.
