Job summary

GenScript Biotech Corporation, located in New Jersey, seeks a seasoned Procurement Lead to drive material, CAPEX, and service purchasing while reducing costs and ensuring supplier compliance. The role collaborates with production and cross‑functional teams to optimize terms and deliverables.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years as a Buyer/Lead Buyer, strong contract and change-management skills, and fluency with SAP, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience as Buyer/ Lead Buyer.
Knowledge of industry bidding procedures and criteria.
Strong contract management and negotiations skills.
Strong Project and change management capabilities.
Excellent computer skills with Excel, PowerPoint and SAP.
Ability to continuously improve working efficiency through KPI programs.
Experience working with multi-cultural teams.

Responsibilities

Procurement of Materials/CAPEX/Service procurement.
Pursue purchasing and cost reduction initiatives.
Maintain internal/external customer focus to address issues.
Implement negotiations and contracts with partners to optimize terms and deliverables.
Maintain relationships with functional managers to understand needs.
MSA, annual contract, and bid management.
Comply with SOPs and file systems.
Review supplier performance against contracted obligations.
Maintain material code configurations in ERP/SAP.
