Job summary

Bionova Scientific LLC is seeking a Maintenance and Calibration Technician to join the Facilities and Engineering team in Fremont, CA. The role focuses on maintenance, calibration, and compliance of GMP-regulated systems with strong CMMS documentation and vendor coordination.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on mechanical/ electrical aptitude, familiarity with P&IDs, and experience working under SOPs in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certificate or equivalent experience in a scientific/engineering discipline.
• 1-4 years of facility operations, maintenance, calibration, or related technical systems.
• Experience with SOPs, reading drawings and working from specs.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and inspection of lab and manufacturing equipment.
• Coordinate calibration of GMP and non-GMP instrumentation.
• Maintain utilities and building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, gases, fire protection).
• Coordinate with external vendors for maintenance and calibration; process quotes and POs.
• Document tasks in CMMS; ensure audit readiness and traceability.
• Support QA, Manufacturing, Lab Operations, and Engineering to meet readiness timelines.
• Develop work plans and data sheets for asset maintenance and inventory.
