Job summary

MilliporeSigma in Carlsbad, CA is seeking a Logistics Operator 1 to handle transfer, storage, and shipment of GMP samples, intermediates, and final products. You will assist with inventory maintenance and participate in shipping activities.

This role requires basic computer skills, willingness to work off-shifts and weekends, and adherence to safety guidelines for hazardous materials. Prior warehouse or GMP experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred: 1+ years of warehouse, logistics, or related experience.
• Preferred: 1+ years GMP experience.
• Knowledge of electronic management systems is desirable.
• Experience with hazardous material disposal is a plus.
• Familiarity with postal or commercial shipping methods (FedEx, etc.) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Transport GMP materials to designated manufacturing, quality, or storage facilities.
• Ship GMP products to clients and testing facilities.
• Generate air bills and assemble shipping documentation packages.
• Support inventory management through cycle counts and reconciliation of samples, intermediates, and final product inventory.
• Maintain accuracy of the inventory management system and related records.
• Work off-shifts, weekends, and additional hours as required.
